[edit]Press releases
[edit]ALA now says, "In coming months we anticipate providing enhanced access to the entire press release archive on the ALA website."
1965 to 1977 series of five Arthurian fantasy novels, The Dark is Rising Sequence. !-- source for Matter of Britain and 1965 is our articles on the books (ALA pr does not label and says 1966); "Sequence" title dates from 1984 -->

Acceptance speeches
[edit]The annual page "2004 Margaret A. Edwards Award Winner" (Ursula K. Le Guin) ends with the note,
- "To hear and read speeches of previous winners visit the For Members Only section of the YALSA website. (In .pdf in the For Members Only section.)"
One of the annual pages does include a working inline link to the acceptance speech, namely "Margaret A. Edwards Speech 2009 / (c) Laurie Halse Anderson 2009". The URL includes no date and ends in filename edwardsspeech.pdf so it does not suggest how to access the others directly. --P64 (talk) 20:07, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
External links
[edit]Prior to 2002 most of the annual pages provide one or two external links.
- Award year
- 2001 [ext] Robert Lipsyte at the De Grummond Collection [1] — {dead} there, fixed here
- 2000 [ext] Chris Crutcher, Hero or Villain? [2]
- 1996 [alternative] American Library Association announces author Judy Blume ranks as second most censored author of past 15 years (News & Press Center homepage)
- 1995 [ref] Cynthia Voigt Biography at Scholastic.com [3]
- 1994 [ext] Walter Dean Myers Biography at Scholastic.com [4]
- 1992 [ext] Lois Duncan at Teacher@Random.com[5] — {dead} there, fixed here
- 1988 [ext] S. E. Hinton at Teachers@Random.com[6] — {dead} there, fixed here
The 1993 and 1996–1999 pages provide links to the official websites of the winners, no help as all are listed Ext links in our biographies. There I expect to fix any dead links "now". --P64 (talk) 20:07, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

- Some of the links provided by YALSA were new to us a few days ago, but no longer.
- • [ext] = external link in our biography
- • [ref] = formal reference in our biography
- ALA may not permanently archive all of its lists of banned and challenged books and writers, and press releases are soon dated. For Blume among others I updated our pages to target readily available lists, and conventional ones such as defined by scope 1990–1999.
- During this pass thru all 25 biographies I intended to update or tag all of the {dead} Ext links that we list, and I may have done so. --P64 (talk) 01:41, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
