I noticed that there is a notablility warning posted on the page due to the lack of sources.

I just wanted to point out that Fijian culture and history is predominantly oral in nature and with some of our historical figures like Ratu Mara Kapaiwai, this becomes problematic.

Nevertheless this article is accurate and verifiable by many pacific historians and scholars, although not much may exist in the way of written sources.

It would be remiss of Wikipedia to delete the article. I for one have blood ties to some of the figures mentioned.

The subject's daughter-in-law, Adi Litiana Maopa was the older sister of Roko Jone Liwaki, who in turn is the father of Roko Melaia Lutukivuya, mother of Mele Lagilagi Tikoilomaloma (my paternal grandmother).

His grandson Dr Ratu Jione Rabici Doviverata married Adi Losalini Raravuya, who is my maternal grandmother's older sister.

I can verify the elements of the article because they are undisputed facts to most people familiar with their Fijian tribal history.

The battle of Kaba and surrounding circumstances and people involved; is taught to primary school children in Fiji as well as Third/Fourth Form Social Studies as part of the syllabus, although I do not know whether the prescribed texts mentions it specifically.

It would be a pity if this article was deleted and this is just my two cents thrown in to prevent it.
