Requested move

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was no move. When I made this proposal I was unaware of another article about an album bearing the same name. The request is therefore withdrawn. Station1 (talk) 04:14, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lullaby (Jewel album)Lullaby (album) — There is no other article about an album named Lullaby currently on Wikipedia, so further disambiguation is unnecessary. If a similarly-named album is released in the future, this can be moved back at that time. — Station1 (talk) 07:41, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong support. No evidence to indicate that any other past or future albums are named "Lullaby" specifically. I've searched throughout the Internet as well as on Wikipedia itself (through Category:Upcoming albums) to no avail. Oppose. Per Tassedethe below. The Sophie Barker album article was unfortunately orphaned and not on the disambig page so was difficult to find. I also didn't find reference to it when Googling "Lullaby" albums— `CRAZY`(lN)`SANE` 12:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Unnecessary disambiguation is unnecessary. If someone creates another Lullaby article, we can discuss about moving the page back, if this page is not considered the primary topic. Until then, Lullaby (album) is enough. Oppose. Per Tassedethe below, necessary disambiguation is in fact necessary. Jafeluv (talk) 08:25, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. I am the creator of Lullaby (Jewel album) and my opinion is: No, If it's moved, what if another album by the title "Lullaby" comes out? And I know of one that is, Just another unnecessary move, please, let's just leave it the way it is, the Lullaby (album) redirects here anyway in the meantime. I Seek To Help & Repair! (talk) 13:55, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. As Tassedethe says, there is another album called Lullaby by Sophie Barker, and there is a page about it. Lullaby (album) should be a disambig page as it is now. If it is decided to redirect to this page then there should be a disambig note at the top, i.e. Fences and windows (talk) 19:18, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

[edit]
Great that you've invited others to a discussion, Station1, however since this is an uncontroversial move it does not need consensus. I agree with you that it should be moved to Lullaby (album), as per Wiki guidelines. You can do so anytime, or I'll gladly do so if you do not have the ability.— `CRAZY`(lN)`SANE` 07:54, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I already did that and was reverted, so taking the guidelines at WP:RM at face value, I listed this as controversial. If you wish to move it, I certainly don't object. Station1 (talk) 08:07, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I hadn't taken the time to check the article history before commenting. My apologies. But I've researched "I Seek to Help & Repair"'s claim that there are other upcoming albums with the "Lullaby" name and found nothing. I don't see where he's getting that from. I'm not going to revert his edit because that might start an unneeded revert war, but I will vote in support of this move, and I'm sure we will get consensus.— `CRAZY`(lN)`SANE` 08:18, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you'll see Lullaby (Sophie Barker album), you can see calling it "Lullaby (album)" would make no logical sense. I Seek To Help & Repair! (talk) 15:41, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
