The originator's gone one of the contributor's has gone. I would be inclined to bin it if it wasn't part of the WikiProject California. I'd email them if I could find an email address! Is there anyone near who could please phone them and get an email address?

Notabilty

[edit]

This article does not cite any sources, I don't thnik it can stay if no sources are added, for reasons of verifiability and notability. Will replace the "importance" tag with "notability" for now. --B. Wolterding 08:09, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably notable!

[edit]

In my reserch I came across this reference: Beardwood, Jack. From Browns to Greens: A History of the Los Angeles Country Club, 1898-1973. [Los Angeles: Los Angeles Country Club, 1973]

Ed Tufts is my great uncle!

[edit]

I would like an email or phone number so I could contact Adrian W. Whited, who wrote the article, or someone at the Country Club, regarding the 100th birthday event. Ed Tufts, creator/founder of the LA Golf and Country Club is my husband's great uncle. We'd like to attend the 100th birthday celebration. Any clues as to how we can contact someone in the know?? monacb@msn.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.157.244 (talk) 00:50, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Historically, did not admit Jews. Clubs such as Hillcrest were formed for this reason. Should be mentioned as part of the history of the subject.2A00:23C7:E287:1900:9CD1:65F4:F739:E05C (talk) 21:15, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
