Challenges of liveability
[edit]Hi there,
Thanks for your contribution to this informative article. I think the challenges of liveability section is better not to be limitted to the 4 categories as mentioned. This can make the room open for the possible advancement in the future.
My suggestion:
There are several challenges to livability. These challenges are subdivided into four categories can be subdivided into several categories such as (1) Urbanization and population growth, (2) income distribution and affordability issues, (3) environmental sustainability and climate challenge and (4) urban planning and infrastructure development. Review of the article
[edit]Hi @ALMahaAA
thanks for your contribution in extending this Wiki page. It is well-written and detailes in each of its section and well understandable as well for people without a strong background in this field of research.
My only suggestion for improving it consists in considering to include some more meaningful links to other wiki-pages in the Livability in mixed-use developments section: I think this would help readers to further understand the main concept and deepen the knowledge on other ideas and topics only cited in the section.
Hope you're enjoying your adventure in the exciting world of collaborative projects on Wikipedia :)
Best,

Review
[edit]Hi, Thanks for your article, I learned a lot about liveability and its current state. Articles are structured and references are varied and reliable. My only question is, why are the United States and Singapore taken as cases of livability principles, and what are their typicalities? It would be nice if you could add some clarification.

Observations and suggestions for improvements
[edit]The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following an expert review of the article within the Science, Technology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in July 2023.
It would be interesting to deepen a bit the discussion about how contextual factors play a role in shaping different perspectives on livability, in order to avoid a neo-colonial approach (cities in the Global North being systematically considered more livable than cities in the Global South).
When discussing the possible role of technology and smart city approaches to improving livability, a more critical perspective, able to take into account the possible risks and downsides, would be beneficial.
