Lumen

[edit]

I noticed this page after saving my edit on the Lumen. Is is The Lumen or Lumen at Tysons? Emporis and WaPo use the latter. APK whisper in my ear 06:25, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AgnosticPreachersKid, thank you for the catch! Lumen and Lumen at Tysons seem to be used interchangeably elsewhere, but because the sources name it as such, I will modify the name in the list. Thanks again! -- West Virginian (talk) 15:53, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
AgnosticPreachersKid, never mind I see you already made the change! Thanks again! -- West Virginian (talk) 15:55, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Completed buildings with heights estimated over 200 feet

[edit]

Do these require a reference other than Emporis confirming the height is 200+ feet? APK whisper in my ear 06:45, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AgnosticPreachersKid, I try to find other sources in addition to Emporis because a lot of the heights listed on Emporis are estimates. For its estimated heights, Emporis accompanies them with the ≈ symbol, so I avoid placing them in this article but you'll notice the estimates heights have been used in other lists like List of tallest buildings in Virginia hence the inconsistencies between that list and this list. I try to verify the building heights with FAA and builders when possible. I am still looking for heights for several buildings in Tysons that may meet the 200' threshold. -- West Virginian (talk) 15:58, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok. Thanks for the info. I'll look for a second source. APK whisper in my ear 22:15, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed buildings from Fairfax County planning site

[edit]

The "proposed" section only had one builing in it. Just going through three projects on the Fairfax County planning site I was able to add over a dozen more. These were all on the far edge of East Tysons. Considering how many projects have bene green lighted in the last couple of years, I'm sure thre are dozens more that can be added if someone has time to research. I'll try to work my way west as time permits. There is a good list of all the projects available here. StuffOfInterest (talk) 13:19, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
