Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

I want this list deleted. This list is embarrassingly incomplete, lacks useful organization and detail (athlete's nationalities? Teams? Decade/century they were active?) and there are literally hundreds (thousands?) of women athletes who are notable enough to potentially be included in Wikipedia, this list isn't actually feasible in the long run. I think it's best to just scrap this article, and work on adding the appropriate category tags to the biographies of women athletes as they're added to Wikipedia. There is already with sub-categories by sport. OttawaAC (talk) 04:05, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a better approach would be to set a high criterion for inclusion. As in, multiple Olympic gold medals, or multiple MVP awards.--Epeefleche (talk) 04:09, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This article is implausible. There are far too many female athletes to even try to put them all in this list. Doesn't seem necessary. I'm for deletion. HotshotCleaner (talk) 04:14, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
