Corrections

[edit]

Looks like some incorrect data seeped into this page... For example, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is listed as a Chinese production even though the referenced source data considers it an American production. Is this data being produced by some automatic/scheduled process, or is it safe to correct it by hand? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 133.237.7.77 (talk) 05:15, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Historical Chinese box office sources

[edit]

For the timeline section, we need more reliable Chinese-language sources that provide historical box office data (between the 1940s and 1990s). Such as the gross revenue and the number of tickets sold, for both domestic and foreign films released in China. Does anyone here know any sources like that? Or would there be anyone willing to translate any such sources? I don't read Chinese, but am mainly relying on Google Translate. This reliable source appears to have screenshots of Chinese text that can't be Google-Translated. Are there any other films and their box office numbers mentioned in those screenshots? I've also found some maybe not-so-high-quality sources like this, this, this and this. They appear to be referencing more reliable Chinese sources, but I can't quite make it out with Google Translate, and can't track down the original sources for the data provided. Can someone (such as a Chinese speaker/reader) help out with this? Maestro2016 (talk) 22:31, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I don't know what "domestic" means - Is it films made in China by Chinese staff etc.? If so, then why is The Eight Hundred not on the list?Kdammers (talk) 01:32, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
