List by county or by town?
[edit]This page is organized by county, but county level government in Connecticut was all but abolished two generations ago. Should the high school list be reorganized alphabetically by town name? Jd2718 00:27, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think it should be organized by town. I had to think too hard about where each town was in order to use it. Also, is it against protocol to put the direct link to the school right next to the school? It seems like links that take you out of Wikipedia usually appear at the end... LWilliLbn 10/25/06
- Listing by town makes sense since Category:High schools in Connecticut serves as the alphabetized by school name version and people can just use the "Edit > Find (in page)" feature in their browser if they want to search by school name. --Georgeryp 05:21, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
There seem to be very few external links in the similar lists for other states. But is there a wiki policy against them? They certainly don't diminish the readability of the list. Jd2718 16:27, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- No, It's definetly not against wikipedia policy... however I think that the schools should be arranged alphabetically. By town would be foolish, as is county...
It's too hard to read like the way it is now. IF you just copied and pasted it into Excel, and sorted it by name of the school, it shouldn't be that hard.
