Geography expert needed

[edit]

I have been unable to find any concrete geographic or geologic definitions for "archipelago". It seems to be an almost entirely political distinction. If there are any general rules geographers follow that would be very helpful.

This article needs extensive revisions and an expert in Geography to make sure island groups aren't missing and the ones that are there are grouped correctly. Desertambition (talk) 10:41, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
