Talk:List of United States senators in the 119th Congress
Appearance
JD Vance
[edit]Because Vance's term doesn't expire until Jan 3, 2029, Vance should remain in the list unless he resigns prior to Jan 3, 2025. If he resigns on or after that day, he should still remain in the list because he still served as a senator in the 119th Congress. His replacement would slot in at the bottom of the list the way any other replacement would. (See the equivalent list from the 117th congress and how Kamala Harris's situation was handled) Bartletforamerica98 (talk) 20:47, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Bartletforamerica98: Vance has resigned on January 10, 2025. But, I don't know how to remove him from the articles, without messing up the table. GoodDay (talk) 05:58, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- He shouldn't be removed. This is a list of all senators who served in the 119th congress, which he did. The Seniority in the US Senate page is where one should only list sitting senators. Bartletforamerica98 (talk) 22:03, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
