LaVey

[edit]

Can somebody please provide a source for the claim that Anton La Vey was Jewish? I know he had a diverse ethnic background, but this is the first time I've heard anybody claim that he was Jewish. Given that he was such a controversial figure, I think it's very important to substantiate this claim, or else remove it. David Cannon 13:36, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Title

This has a very confusing title. —User:ACupOfCoffee@ 02:38, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus Christ !!!!!

[edit]

I'm not religious but shouldn't the Most Famous Jew be a bit higher on the list? It seems to be suggested that he was not even a Jew since he is listed under "Other religious leaders". (Was His mother Jewish? Does it make a difference that she was a virgin?)

I propose adding a category "Israel" and putting Jesus in that. And his mom & dad. OK???Fourtildas 08:11, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello from the future- Jesus' placement in the list does not contradict his Jewish ethnicity. [Other religious leaders (including Jews associated with religions outside of Judaism)]
Being as Jesus was Jewish and also the central figure of the Christian religion, it makes sense that he belongs in that section. Israel was also founded in 1948 and did not exist as a political entity in Jesus' time. You might be thinking of Judea. Evaporation123 (talk) 21:58, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
