[edit]Wanted to know who is the first player to score 100 runs and 10 wickets in the same test match.
- The first person to score 100 runs and 10 wickets was Alan Davidson. He scored 44 & 80 and took 11 wickets in the Tied Test between Australia & West Indies in 1960-61. See scorecard here.
- The first to score a century and take 10 wickets was Ian Botham of England against India at Bombay in 1979-80 - 114 runs and 13 wickets Scorecard
- If you are not specific about men's cricket, Betty Wilson got there before the guys. She score 12 & 100 and took 11 wickets at Melbourne in 1957-58 Scorecard.

[edit]So which England players have played in the most Tests? A simple and reasonable cricket question that is not easy to answer using Wikipedia. Why? Gmackematix (talk) 01:38, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
J J Ferris
[edit]The section Bowling record: Best career average states that JJ Ferris has the second best aveage but he does not appear in the table. Tigerboy1966 05:42, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
- Looks like he only played one Test for England; only his record for the team should be included in the list on this page. His aggregate in all his Tests gains him a place on the overall list. I've not checked his figures for that match, but he won't have bowled enough deliveries in it to qualify. Spike 'em (talk) 06:16, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
