Fortuynism

[edit]

Fortuynism is a mixture of conservative (anti-immigrant stands, strong cultural identity, nationalism, ...) and liberal stands (free market, small government, low taxes, ...). List Dedecker combines these conservative and liberal viewpoints. Pim Fortuyn's brother Maarten campaigned on behalf of List Dedecker in Flanders. He stated that 85% of the List Dedecker electoral program was identical to that of Pim Fortuyn. Jean-Marie Dedecker based its party name on Pim Fortuyn's "List Pim Fortuyn". Well Dedecker has been called the Flemish Wilders as well. The point is not if these viewpoints might coincide with whatever Fortuynism is supposed to be, but if Fortuynism has been a direct influence on the party as a whole. I doubt that, and haven't seen sources for this. That Fortuyn's brother campaigned for the party is indeed an inclination of Fortuynism, but I think it is best for readers to decide what to think of this. I wouldn't call someone like Bouckaert, who seems to be quite influential in the party, a Fortuynist. Intangible2.0 22:51, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

article name

[edit]

I'm not sure about the recent name change of the article. Intangible2.0 15:33, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Me neither. (http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_Pim_Fortuyn) There, the article is named "List Pim Fortuyn" and starts by stating that it means "Pim Fortuyn List" in English ... Weird, very weird. Berchemboy 11:27, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've reverted the name change. Intangible2.0 23:07, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

right-wing smears

[edit]

I do not blame intellectuals of the looter persuasion for wanting to distance themselves from Christian National Socialism as set forth in the 25 Points, Mein Kampf and the UT collection titled Nazi Ideology Before 1933 and the Nurenberg Trials. But many of the editor-infiltrators at Wikipedia seek to lump together those opposed to the initiation of force (libertarians) and those most earnestly committed to the initiation of force as a panacea (nationalsocialists, ku-kluxers and similar Christian societies) but who happen to not appreciate the communist doctrine of faith. I can also understand their lacking the courage to identify Christian or Mohammedan racial collectivists as what they clearly are--something closely resembling other socialist entities united by revealed faith, violence and altruism. These internal dissentions, however, are your problem, not mine. I am going to have to take this case to Belgians, remind them of the explicitly religious professions of their invaders (which you class as right-wing, if right-wing has any meaning at all). I will also make the case that the Wikipedia is mis-depicting them to preserve a bipolar ideological framework inconsistent with the real world. You are in effect depicting noncommunist Belgians as Nazis by association. In the meantime you might want to reassess the wisdom of such spurious mendacity. translator (talk) 14:59, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo List Dedecker.JPG

[edit]

Image:Logo List Dedecker.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
