The result of this discussion was to merge Martinvl (talk) 11:57, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that this article be merged into Metrology. The reason is that there is a very large overlap between legal metgrology and the other aspects of metrology (for example traceability) and neither article is particularly long, so everything could fit comfortably under one heading.

Once the merger has been agreed, I propose a redirect from this article to Metrology. Martinvl (talk) 11:39, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

support. There is very little in this article - it would contribute about one paragraph to Metrology and would not make it over-long; since trade is the primary reason we care about weights and measures anyway, it's pretty central to the topic. Perhaps someday we'll have a long exposition of the "legal" aspects, but for now, I would agree a merge is reasonable. --Wtshymanski (talk) 14:27, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
