Conflict of interest editing

[edit]

@Airtalk2025: In the edit comment for this edit you indicate that you are working as part of the "air talk team" and at the bidding of the article's subject. You have made your conflict of interest very clear. Please see our Conflict Of Interest guidelines to learn how you should seek changes to a page when you have a conflict of interest. There are further links on your own talk page that may be of help in dealing with Wikipedia in general.

To help you better understand: This is not Larry Mantle's Wikipedia page, it's Wikipedia's page about Larry Mantle. This is not like, say, LinkedIn, where the subject of the page is expected to be the person in control of it. (As someone with a journalistic background, Mr. Mantle would likely be able to understand that concept.) It is not intended to be hype-filled or present only the aspects of an individual that they wish to present. Providing a photo of the subject has been helpful (although I will ask if you took that photo yourself, and if so, was it part of your work as an employee?)

I ask that you stop editing the page directly and start making editing request and suggestions here on this page, and that you properly identify your conflict of interest.

(And in the interest of openness, I will note that I appeared on Airtime probably about a decade back, had lunch with Mantle and a fellow guest afterward, but have had no contact or further relationship since, have no campaign for or against him, and none of that rises to s level of conflict-of-interest concern as defined for Wikipedia.) -- Nat Gertler (talk) 18:56, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
