The Manor House, Kirkheaton, Northumberland

[edit]

I would like to suggest that the information about the Manor House in Kirkheaton should also refer to the following internet search result. Kirkheaton Manor House (The Gatehouse Record) (gatehouse-gazetteer.info)-see below. This would suggest that the Manor house is NOT a Pele Tower but a Bastle. https://gatehouse-gazetteer.info/English%20sites/2450.html Also see http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Grade_II*_listed_buildings_in_Northumberland 2.28.251.120 (talk) 15:49, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and changed it. Note that the National Heritage List entry also describes the Manor House as a "C16 Bastlehouse". Deor (talk) 23:30, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
