GA failed
[edit]In short, the article is not comprehensive enough for GA. It is only 3.5k in the main text
- Random Ideas for expansion
- Notable/historic matches at the ground. Which matches set a record for attendances
- Notable incidents at the ground - riots etc, pitch invasions?
- History of initial construction - authorisation by uni to build this thing. Who was the architect? How was the contracts and designs selected and given out? Where did the team play beforehand? Were the proposed constuction the subject of protestors?
- Discussion of architecture. Discussion of how the ground has evovled needs to be detailed, not just saying "major renovations in yrs 1, 3, 56" and so forth.
- Characteristics of playing arena? Does the surface have any unusual characteristics that are different to other grounds. How does this affect play? is the surface rough, causing more injuries, is it bouncier than other surfaces? Is the stadium prone to wind or rain which makes it a difficult environment in which to pass and handle the ball?
- Is the stadium used for rock conerts etc.?
- Titles and info on the refs need to be filled out properly
- The lead is supposed to recap the main body. Some of the content in the lead is not repeated in the body.

Iowa Field
[edit]Until 1972, Kinnick Stadium was known as Iowa Stadium, not Iowa Field. Iowa Field was the university's previous football venue and was located on the east bank of the Iowa River from 1890 through 1928. There is a separate entry with linked pictures verifying its location in Wikipedia for Iowa Field (http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Iowa_Field). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcpetjstn (talk • contribs) 14:44, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Lights
[edit]There are no permanent lights for night games. Musco lighting still brings in portable light trucks for night games. They do have permanent supports for the lights on the top of the new press box. The lights for the top of the press box are brought in by Musco and lifted onto the pressbox with cranes. They are removed shortly after the night game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Djwohls (talk • contribs) 01:22, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
The platforms for the lights on the new press box can be seen in this pic : http://up.wiki.x.io/wikipedia/commons/a/a4/Kinnick_Stadium.jpg —Preceding unsigned comment added by Djwohls (talk • contribs) 01:27, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

==Rating==
I rated it B-class because it has several good elements like the pictures, but I would like to see more history or stadium records. Perhaps a picture of the outside could also be used. Dan 20:16, 2 July 2007 (UTC) I also rated it low importance because I saw Cy-Hawk Trophy had the same rating. Other than that I would have no idea on what to base it on.
