Edward Francis Scollay
[edit]I have added my grandfather Major Edward Francis Scollay to the list of KOYLI soldiers who received the MM. He was a regular solder who joined the regiment prior to WW1 as a private, served in Irland, was among those who was on the Western Front at the start of the war, was mentioned in dispatches to Winston Churchill, received the MM, was wounded twice during the war, was one of the few in the regiment from 1914 who survived the war. At the end of the war he was an RSM. 19:17, 5 May 2011 (UTC)M Thomason

A fighting patrol of the 1/4th Btn KOYLI
[edit]Either every man in this patrol is left-handed and has chosen to wear his cap pulled over to the left with the badge over the incorrect eye (or ear in some instances), that is right instead of left, or this picture has been reversed.
Not only that but the bayonet is worn on the left hip and the bolt on a No 4 rifle is on the right, as is that of the Sten gun (etc, etc.) JF42 (talk) 19:55, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I thought this image might be worth including. Is there a way to tell which unit it is? "Battle of Masjif aftermath" 1878 NotAnOmbudsman (talk) 23:31, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
