Vandalism
[edit]Some character calling himself Egeyemi insists on reverting the text to some previous edit that lacks several bits of up-to-date information (the current king is Salman; who 'was fond' of KA is of no interest to the readers of an an encyclopedia, etc.). I'll report vandalism if it happens again.Sartoresartus (talk) 16:33, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
Obvious puff piece
[edit]The defensive business about how this guy got his job on his own merit doesn't belong in a Wikipedia article. 97.116.168.45 (talk) 04:16, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Given the next sentence I conclude that the author was not being completely sincere in his praise of Al-Maeena's 'merits'. However this unquestionably does not belong in a Wikipedia entry.
Still quite funny though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.81.66.102 (talk) 21:15, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- lol, yes. A whinier and more self-pitying article I have yet to see .....perhaps it IS written by the person concerned ;-) I think it should be deleted right away. What it DOES offer is the useful info that the editor-in-chief of Arab News is government appointed and is hobnobbing it with the very highest and mightiest of this family owned- and run country, really an old-fashioned tyranny, and therefore everything feel-good and unctuous written in Arab News should be doubted and only understood as celebrating the Royals. I correct myself: in some ways a highly useful article, but perhaps not the way the writer(s) intended. Great fun! Steflars2011 (talk) 06:24, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- I agree. It wouldn't take much to improve it, but I think we might as well let it stand. As of Oct. 15 he's no longer in the job, so it doesn't matter anyway.Sartoresartus (talk) 14:00, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
