was or is?

[edit]

Other articles claim this coin is in use. Are the sizes in use or discarded? Liastnir 15:40, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not. What is the other article? --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 20:16, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is in circulation

[edit]

The Kelantanese is in local circulation alongside the Malaysian Ringgit, therefore, it isn't an obsolete currency. - (203.211.79.105 03:56, 21 December 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Fantasy. Should be removed

The producer of this piece, Mariwasa Kraftangan (http://www.mariwasakraftangan.com/), is a local manufacturer of trinkets. This thing has nothing to do with coins.--Peterk2 22:05, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about Disney dollar then? --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 20:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Two negatives don't make a positive. Moreover, while both are not coins, the Disney dollar is accepted under certain circumstances as payment, so it can claim token status. This thing has the same status as a lighted miniature Eiffel tower spinning around while playing a song.--Peterk2 17:48, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to Islamic gold dinar the Kelatanese dinar is in fact also in use Nil Einne 20:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This thing is a tourist souvenir, Aidan. They're out for people's money, including yours. Don't help them. The issuer is a private company, gold coins cannot be used as money as they are either too small or have a denomination that competes with banknotes (in which case banknotes win), Kelantan cannot issue its own coins since they are part of the Malaysian federation and no, its not a bullion coin either or the issuer would have made a big deal about weight and pureness. It is exactly this sort of evidently false information that makes people doubt Wikipedia.--Peterk2 19:54, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
