What's his chest size

[edit]

I know it seems a funny question but you see people who're his height and then you see the Big Show, there's a difference of 2 or 3 inches but the Big Show looks so much bigger purely because his chest and body is so much wider. I think that the Big Show is about a 70 inch chest. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.3.92.4 (talk) 12:52, 9 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Good question, I've noticed that his chest in older matches is pretty incredible. Though 'Zuna takes the cake. (What a pun.) -Tagetto

Unless we can get an official measurement from his tailor or something I don't see how that question could possibly be answered. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 19:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I THINK(not entirely sure) the reason he looked bigger inpast matches is due to surgery he received,I recall reading that somewhere, but i cant confirm it.If someone wants to find out maybe that info can be added to the artical Cosmic Larva 22:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added to other media about Kane appearing in the March 22 episode of Smallville, but I can't figure out how to add the link as a footnote. Can someone who gets it add it? The website is here Thanks! Anakinjmt 20:27, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Toughness

[edit]

There needs to be a little more emphasis placed on Kane's sheer toughness as it is or at least was one of the defining characteristics of his persona. Mainly in that he seems to recover from finishing moves better than any other wrestler. Just a few examples Undertaker required 3 Tombstones to beat him. When Kane fought the Rock on RAW for the title it took a chokeslam by Undertaker, and two Rock Bottoms to pin him. He has recovered from X-Pac's "X-Factor" He has recovered from Big Show's Chokeslam He has recovered from the Stone Cold Stunner He has recovered from Edge's Spear Kurt Angle had to hold him in the ankle lock for somewhere around eight minutes to make him tap, in a match where he was already injured.

For the most part he has recovered from being hit from a finishing move most any time a title was on the line. At least until the period where he lost his match. And as this toughness defines his character over the course of its life time it deserves a little more emphasis. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Klauth (talkcontribs) 06:35, 26 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

In his book it says that he has some rare condition that he cant feel a lot of things

I think he has lost lods of the toughness now hes losing matches left right and center he lost to a fliping bare hug for Zorc sake ♥Fighting for charming Love♥ 11:20, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He did lose to a bear hug.....from the World's Strongest Man....If you wanna be put into one of those, I'll volunteer you right away! Mjtwh 21:02, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you also notice, this also has happened to The Undertaker too. The reason for Undertaker's change of how tough he is, is because he is now a resurrected biker, whereas before he was simply referred to as a dead man. Kane's toughness changed shortly before he removed his mask. Kane is dubbed as a monster, but even monsters can be hurt. Yet, when Kane is hit he "sells" it to where he isn't hurt, but where he holds himself and looks like he is thinking: Did I just get hit? Like he doesn't realy feel it, so he sells it good enough.--Charles-Joseph 03:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Storyline Contradictions

[edit]

It's worth mentioning several storyline contradictions in Kane's character. During his feud with X-Pac and Torrie it was mentioned that Kane's penis was burned off in the fire during his childhood. Jerry Lawler especially drew attention to this fact by screaming "He's a virgin J.R!". However, four years later during his "marriage" and feud with Lita, he supposedly impregnated her. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Karwikitik (talkcontribs) 22:25, 28 February 2007 (UTC). Cosmic Larva 22:16, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take note of the other, major storyline contradiction, being that at that time, Kane wrestled in a mask because he was apparently burned in a fire, even though four years later, he wrestles with his face and upper body exposed, and is not burned at all. Calgary 20:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about the first one with X-Pac, but the second, about the burns, it was revealed in that interveiw (where he set JR on fire) that the burns were a figment of his imagination. (Way to kill a 6 year old storyline huh?)203.40.198.222 12:53, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

isnt the whole thing about kane and undertaker being related all kayfabe and the same with the whole fire deal

Sit Up

[edit]

Has anyone noticed Kane doesn't do his sit-up anymore after he gets knocked down? Why is that?

He did it recently after a match w/ Mark Henry (after he was counted out)

Kane will be doing this a lot more than he used to. It may be included on this years WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 video game. Kane does the situp more now than he ever did before in the past. With the acception of when he was first in the ring as Kane. You can always tell when he is getting ready to do it too. Kane will lay flat on his back motionless, and then sit right up with the look we've all come to love.--Charles-Joseph 03:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC) Again, he did it at Summerslam for an example :D 90.185.211.226 18:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)emilos[reply]

Date of birth should be finalized

[edit]

It is known that Glen Jacobs was born on 26 April, but some internet sources state the year was 1967 while others cite 1968 as his birth year. Although I do not agree with the 'Internet Movie Database' and 'TV.com' being used as sources for professional wrestling articles, it should be noted that they both give '67 as the year in question (and Kane is a leading actor now in the world of films). However, 'About.com' and 'Online World of Wrestling', formerly known as 'Obsessed With Wrestling' will tell you he was born in 1968. Personally, I woudn't source pro wrestling articles with information from either of those sites either because 'About.com' is designed to be a general purpose encyclopedia and 'OWW' is primarily concentrated in compiling TV appearances and happenings involving superstars. Also, both state that The Undertaker is called Mark Calloway and was born in 1962, whereas we now know his name is spelled 'Calaway' and he was born some three years afterwards. Are there any authoritative sites for compiling reliable and authenticated pro wrestling statistics? It would be great if we had an Internet Wrestling Database. Also, is there any official biographical or autobiographical material about Jacobs, or even an out-of-character appearance on a talk show or something where he happens to mention his age so we could then pin it down to a year? It's truly surprising that there is such uncertainty remaining over any aspect of the life of such a popular superstar.

Kane the only wrestler to hold the wwe title legitimately?

[edit]

I heard that when he faced austin for the title at king of the ring austin was scheduled to retain, but when taker hit austin with the chair when interfering, austin inadvertantly began bleeding, the referee then had to declare kane the winner as it was a first blood match. Anyone know if thats true? If it is then it should be mentioned, i believe it may be true as kane lost the title back to austin the next night on raw, so i doubt they would have planned another title reighn shorter then a week after the bob backlund thing.

If true, that's pretty crap then that means WWE hasn't wanted to put World Title on Kane ever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiga (talkcontribs) 08:52, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No this is not true for two easy reasons if you remember the stipulation had Kane lost that match. Anyway, Kane was schedueled to win that match due to the fact of Austin having the staff infection in his elbow. He was in fact hospitalized that day before the event but still showed up to loose the belt to Kane so he could take time off to recooperater. However the staff infection was later found out to be gone and the following night, WWE gave the title back to Austin. There is talk of this on one of the Stone Cold videoes that was released a while back, I cannot remember the title but on the video Austin does tell all that Kane was supposed to win that night. Kane himself said in an interview that he doesn't care about having a title unless the writers book him to get one.--Charles-Joseph 05:19, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moves

[edit]

The moves section said that Kane rarely uses a leg-feed enziguiri. For some reason that doesn't sound like Kane. Is that vandalism? No, he has pulled it of a couple of times. Just watch Summerslam, he pulls one of there. 90.185.211.226 18:20, 27 August 2007 (UTC)emilos[reply]

Yes Kane has pulled off a lot of moves that are not moves you'd ever see someone of that height perform. Kane performs Enzuiguries (the correct spelling) on wrestlers that are taller than him. He has performed them on Big Show inm the past and not too long ago on The Great Khali. Kane has even performed a standing dropkick on Big Show as well as a Missile Dropkick one time off the top rope too. There was one time Kane even performed a Hurracanranna on Albert! It was one time I was shocked. Kane is not only one of the strongest wrestlers alive today as quoted by not only the WWE, but several other wrestling promoters, magazines, and muscle magazines, but he is also one of the most athletic.--Charles-Joseph 05:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Black Knight

[edit]

The Black Knight was portayed by wrestler Jeff Gaylord, NOT Glen Jacobs. I edited the page but was unable to link to the reference at PW Insider due its being blacklisted. Columnist Mike Johnson states: "The Knights were Jeff Gaylord, The Brooklyn Brawler and Greg Valentine. One of the Knights was originally going to be Terry Funk, but he decided against doing the role and flew home, leaving the outfit at the hotel's front desk for WWF to retrieve." The reference can be viewed here: www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=25468&p=1

Also since there is in fact no credible source to varify Jacobs as the Black Knight, I think reference of the rumour needs to be removed from the article.--Misinformation 25 July 2007

Week by week info

[edit]

"On the next Smackdown Kane defeated Dave Taylor. On the August 3 edition of SmackDown!, Kane defeated Chris Masters." Should those sentences be removed since it's week by week info? -Gdfanatic21594 15:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About The Falling Powerbomb Move

[edit]

should falling powerbomb be changed to kane powerbomb (falling powerbomb)?its called kane powerbomb cause in the game wrestlemania x8.

The falling powerbomb move he used a short while was actually the same exact powerbomb he used when he was the Unabomb. A lot of fans credit the move name the Powerbomb Pin From Hell for this move, much like his version of the Tombstone.--Charles-Joseph 05:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Glen/Glenn Jacobs

[edit]

I'm wondering how what the real spelling is to Mr. Jacobs name is? Glen or Glenn. I've always believed it to be Glen and I also read in an interview that he himself said it was Glen. But at the start of his page it's says about the Truman State record thing and it says he's listed as Glenn. If ther was a spelling mistake when he went there you'd think he'd notice from results and forms etc.??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiga (talkcontribs) 13:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
