Article name

[edit]

The name of the article should be simply Kaimakchalan. The spelling 'Talk:Kajmakčalan' had nothing to do either with the Greek spelling or the Cyrillic spelling in Macedonian. If anything, it reflects a Serbo-Croatian spelling. 'Kaimakchalan' is neutral. Politis (talk) 20:04, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kajmakčalan is also the Latin transliteration of Кајмакчалан in Macedonian. --Local hero talk 14:57, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, which brings me back to my point that 'Kaimakchalan' is neutral, rather than have the Greek or Macedonian latinized versions of 'Kaimaktsalan' or 'Kajmakčalan' Politis (talk) 21:31, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I think the title should be whichever one is more frequently used. I'm not sure which one that is, though. --Local hero talk 22:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think anyone outside of Greece or R.Macedonia have any idea of its existence :-). I wonder how English language historians of WWI mention it. Politis (talk) 22:36, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's probably true. If there's no way of knowing which is more commonly used to refer to this place, then I'm fine with whatever name. --Local hero talk 14:44, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
