[edit]in our current economical situation, what would be defined as Just Compensation for a home, which you owe more than it is worth? With the real estate market being so low, home prices have dropped enormously, and paying someone the highest fair market value available, may not be enough even still. Would it be fair for the government allow a home to be taken away, even though it would cause such a financial burden on a person? It seems as though it would be better to say "due monetary compensation of fair market value, as long as that is equal to, or greater than, the cost of the property when the current owning party came into possession of said land.99.160.153.12 (talk) 06:08, 24 August 2010 (UTC)TW
