In the Merriam-Webster's 11th edition Collegiate dictionary, "suck up" means to endure difficulty. So, what does it mean in relation to this article? Lucille does not "suck up". It is Ella who "suck up".Coffsneeze 23:38, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can tell, it's using it in a different way in this article. The phrase "to suck up to someone" means something entirely different... some people might say "kiss up to them". Basically it'd be something like giving someone (fake) flattery and attention in order to gain their favor. I haven't read the book itself, but that's what the phrase appears to mean in this article. The phrase you are referring to is usually written "suck it up", "sucked it up", etc. instead. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 05:01, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary too long?

[edit]

When I read this article originally there were major gaps in the summary. I have since tried to fill those in. However, as the tag is 2 years old, does anyone else agree that it could be removed? Thanks! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 20:26, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
