Author

[edit]

Juliana Delgado is the author of the novel, Cuéntamelo, a compilation of queer immigrant stories in the United States during the late 1980s. Cuéntamelo focuses predominantly on Spanish speaking, transgender immigrants over the age of forty-five. One of the subjects in the book, Adela Vazquez (link Wikipage), helped to influence Juliana’s interest in these undiscovered stories. The majority of the stories were first collected in Spanish and later translated to English for publication. Juliana Lopera first published four stories in SF Weekly (Link), soon after she won the Joseph Henry Jackson Award (link), which enabled her to compile more stories into a book.

"Personal Interview" as reference

[edit]

One of the references is "Delgado Lopera, Juliana. Personal interview. April 11, 2017." Is this saying that the editor who added the source (Wnlopez) got that information from Delgado Lopera directly? It was added to the article in this diff on April 28, 2017.
