The result of the move request was: moved to "Jonathan Lee (satirist)": it was the favored option of 2 editors, the majority favored a single disambiguator and all editors favored a move. DrKiernan (talk) 08:18, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Jonathan Lee (writer) → Jonathan Lee (Satirist & Humourist) –
- At the moment there is some confusion whereby a number of people think Jonathan Lee (Writer) refers to the same person as Jonathan Lee (novelist). Being more specific about the kind of writing each writer named Jonathan Lee does, i.e. Novelist vs Satirist & Humourist, should clear up this confusion. 72.225.172.254 (talk) 20:14, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Or to Jonathan Lee (satirist & humourist). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:33, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- The article is currently categorized in Category:British satirists not category:British humorists (is there a real difference at the cat level?) so Jonathan Lee (satirist) would make sense. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:11, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, that's the best option. No need for two descriptors. -- Necrothesp (talk) 23:38, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't like the idea of two descriptors either, but I'd prefer Jonathan Lee (humourist). Satire is more a type of humo(u)r than vice versa; note that Category:British satirists is itself categorized in Category:British comedy and humour. Compare to the many singer/rapper/actors that get qualified as (entertainment); we name them thus because they work in multiple types of entertainment. Likewise, Mr. Lee writes various types of humour, no? --BDD (talk) 19:48, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
