Notability
[edit]I'm not convinced of the subject meeting WP:SOLDIER as the highest rank achieved was a Colonel. He did command a garrison, but it probably did not qualify as "significant body of troops in battle". Coverage is sparse: link. No incoming links.
A de.wiki article exists, but is not convincing for notability: link. Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists.
However, no objection to restoration if can be done with reliable sources. K.e.coffman (talk) 01:21, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
