Teetotaler?
[edit]Shouldn't he drink wine at least during Eucharist? Although, of course, the wine supposedly changes into blood according to the dogma, which would make him a vampire. :-) --194.213.41.2 (talk) 09:08, 10 August 2009 (UTC) _______________________ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.180.10.95 (talk) 16:34, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Though you say this in jest, the first part of your "although" statement is correct. Roman Catholics believe that the water and wine miraculously transubstantiate (http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Transubstantiation) into the Blood of Christ. Nothing of the previous mixture remains. Thus, a Catholic priest may remain a Teetotaler and still take part in the daily Eucharistic celebration.
