Notability
[edit]This page is primarily based on the same UCLA source. I'd like to open up a discussion here on the Talk Page regarding the notability of this page and whether it is significant enough to have an article on Wikipedia. I wouldn't consider Jesse Byock to be a public figure. I'm not finding a significant amount of information that would be considered to be notable/inclusive for an encyclopedia. - He's definitely well known in Iceland. I think the page needs work but he's notable in his field. I'm really surprised his paper on Egils saga and Paget's disease is not mentioned here, that along with the Mosfell project are where most people would have heard of him, I think. [edit]First, Jesse Byock is not a History professor; he is a professor in the Scandinavian Studies section of the German department at UCLA.

Secondly, the page was created by a user with multiple IDs all of whom have been banned.
I suspect this is an example of a paid placement.
