Hi, I will complete an initial review of this article within one week. -Riley1012 (talk) 19:21, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

3a. broadness () 3b. focus () 4. neutral () 5. stable () 6a. free or tagged images () 6b. pics relevant ()
Note: this represents where the article stands relative to the Good Article criteria. Criteria marked are unassessed

1. Well-written

  • ...with 6 touchdowns en route to an appearance in the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl... to maintain consistency with the rest of the article and per MOS:NUMERAL, the 6 here should be written out (six).

2. Verifiable
Earwig is highlighting names of awards, no issues with this. No notes on the reference layout or reliable sources.
Spot check: 4, 6, 17, 19, 25, 28, 34, 36, 44, 48, 51, 56, 61, 69, 77, 85- no issues.

  • Ref. 3 notes he was 137 pounds his freshman year instead of 125?
  • Ref 6 and 15 are the same article.
  • 55: ...he became the first player to complete at least 85 percent in consecutive games. Add a note with the clarification from the source that this requires attempting at least 20 passes in each game.

3. Broad

  • Is it necessary to have the notes with the game scores? Especially in sentences where it is already explained that the team won/lost?
  • I have a few notes on irrelevant details that I feel should be removed:
  • In April 2024, Regina was found to have violated NCAA guidelines by booking flights for recruits to visit Arizona State during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This article is about Jayden, not his mother.
  • His favorite meal to prepare is spaghetti and other types of pasta, with his favorite snack being honey buns. Doesn't add anything important/notable

4. Neutral
No concerns with neutrality

5. Stable
No concerns with stability

6. Illustrated
The images are free use, relevant, and have suitable captions.

@Dissident93: Okay, that is all I have. Good job with this article- my suggestions are in bullet points. -Riley1012 (talk) 20:20, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I kept the Washington Post source regarding his weight (125lb) since the author of the article interviewed his family in San Bernardino for it, which should be more accurate than the other citation. "Is it necessary to have the notes with the game scores?" I only included scores in prose that were uncommon/notable (63-7). I can either add all scores to prose or remove the ones delegated to notes due not being super important. All other suggestions I agreed with and fixed or removed. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 22:01, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Dissident93: Thanks for the quick response. Yeah, I would prefer the non-notable scores to be removed entirely- it does not seem to be common practice on other GA football biographies that I've seen. -Riley1012 (talk) 00:39, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I removed them. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 22:03, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Image size

[edit]

@Cramerwiki: What skin or browser are you using? Your edits make the images near a quarter of the size as the other ones for me, which you seemingly don't have issues with. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 02:29, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not sure what you mean by skin. The images take up most of the screen at 500px however. They just need to be much smaller, otherwise they completely disrupt the formatting. The other images seem to be unaffected by 500px but with those two they show up massive. Cramerwiki (talk) 03:13, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There are a few different type of skins that can be changed in your preferences, with some of them handling formatting in a different way. There must be something about the multi-image template that's showing the image way larger for you than others, as I don't believe anybody else has brought it up. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 04:17, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No seriously. The images are huge at 500px. What size font do you use? Put it on small, the images will take up half the page, it is not something on my end. It looks like that for everyone since small is the default. Cramerwiki (talk) 04:25, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It looked fine on my screen but I do use adjusted default image-size values (it's in the preferences menu) and a 130% browser zoom. If you are using all default settings though, then other users probably also saw it as too wide but didn't care or know enough to fix it themselves. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 01:13, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
