Ted Bundy

It is listed on this page that Ted Bundy made his first kill on this day - but the victim cited, "Joni Lenz", survived and also was not his first. Is there a different protocol to editing these dated pages or notability thresholds, etc? 98.14.129.151 (talk) 00:57, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Globalization and "recentism"

Several editors have objected to my removing entries from the births and deaths lists in order to achieve a better balance. Their objection seems to be that, since any entry with its own article is "allowed", all are of equal importance. I don't agree. At the moment these lists consist largely of the names of young (in some cases, child) sportspeople and entertainers at the expense of anyone born before 1930. Is this really what people are looking for in an encyclopedia? Deb (talk) 16:10, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Oklahoma Land Run of April 22, 1889

Why is the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889 listed on this January 4 page? It took place on April 22. President Benjamin Harrison didn't even issue his proclamation until March 23, 1889. 69.95.141.206 (talk) 04:31, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
