Can we re-instate the production numbers table? It is taken from the book by Nigel Thorley (and was also available at Xclusively Jaguar until they redesigned their website and removed it). I'm not too fussed about the list prices, but the table is useful information, especially for owners of rarer models, and I refer to it fairly often. I second this. The table was removed for reasons of "unsourced / original research / prices unnecessary". Indeed, I neglected to add a citation for the table, but it is certainly not original research. I agree with the notion that the prices are not necessary. Everyone seems to automatically assume a Jaguar X300 is LHD and in the USA/ This could not be further from the truth, as I know of one in Carshalton, one in Thailand and at least 5 on the M6 each and every day! In the UK the X300 is still a common road vehicle (16 years after production ceased). It is always of course the in line 6 engine but set religiously to a 3.2 litre engine. I am sure the "Sport" version in the USA is always the 4.0 liter so is this must surely be the X308? (the more unreliable engine! = X300's are indestructible!). The common fear of importing 3.2's to the US is that we in the UK run on leaner, richer fuel so as such valve stems are always tempered to extremes to cope with higher temperatures and lean burn of UK fuels (premium; or if you dare to, regular!!!).
