Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because I am about to submit the OTRS request right now. I work for SciQuest and have authorization to use our history page (in a non-advertising fashion) on wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Missionispossible (talk • contribs) 17:06, 10 February 2014
- Hi, you need to submit OTRS requests before writing the article, or explicitly state the rights release on the website the information is coming from. The article would/has been deleted anyway per Criteria G11 as it was written like an advertisement. Articles require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. This is, after all, an encyclopedia, not an advertising platform. Samwalton9 (talk) 17:14, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because...the company is the largest public, pure-play company in the eProcurement space. Much smaller, private companies in this space have Wikipedia pages. SQI is publicly traded on NASDAQ. No comments are biased or persuasive. Everything is written neutrally and factually. References have been included, discussing (from 3rd party analysts and publications) what has been going on with SciQuest acquiring other companies (4 in 3 years). That is what makes SQI notable. For notable occurrences of SciQuest: https://spendmatters.com/tag/sciquest/ http://www.mypurchasingcenter.com/technology/technology-articles/sciquests-new-look-modern/ http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/sqi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Missionispossible (talk • contribs) 17:56, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
References added throughout and all is written based on facts found in third party articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Missionispossible (talk • contribs) 15:46, 11 February 2014
Removing talk page content
[edit]On a User Talk page users have virtually free reign (with some exceptions) to remove content and comments of others. On an article talk page like this no such free reign exists. The talk page of an article is meant to show a history of the conversations that have taken place. All users should add their comments to the bottom of the page and should sign their comments with four tildes (like this: ~~~~). I have spent some time rebuilding this discussion to preserve as a record per WP:TPOC. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 16:36, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
Maintenance Template removal
[edit]I have removed the template as per the guidelines, as there seems to be no COI issue by now. Zezen (talk) 07:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
