J.R. Quiñahan → JR Quiñahan – News articles and most references use JR instead of J.R. I csd-ed JR Quiñahan but was declined because MOS:INITIALS suggest periods should be used. However, there is a case that if "An overwhelming majority of reliable sources do otherwise for that person", we can exclude MOS:INITIALS for a page. And J.R. Quiñahan falls onto that exception. So I am requesting again to move it. Babymissfortune 13:30, 14 October 2016 (UTC)--Relisting. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 05:12, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. Per MOS:INITIALS, this requires a period and a space after each letter. Moving to JR, regardless of whether our sources use that, is a violation of our manual of style and should only be done for extreme cases (such as the examples given at MOS:INITIALS). There is no consensus here that this is such a case. (non-admin closure) Bradv 17:34, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

So I am requesting again to move it. (This reason is the one I used in a former RM on this article). An additional reason is to be consistent with other current active Filipino professional basketball players, e.g., LA Tenorio, LA Revilla, JC Intal, RJ Jazul, RR Garcia, JR Buensuceso and JR Cawaling. - Oppose per Joseph Ronald MOS:INITIALS. WP has a MOS that we don't change without overwhelming consistent good reason, which isn't the case here. Looking at some of the others it doesn't appear justified there either, just a stylism in some sports blogs. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:59, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
