Turtles infobox request
[edit]An infobox was requested for The Turtles' 1965 recording of "It Ain't Me Babe" at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Missing_encyclopedic_articles/List_of_notable_songs/7.
Um, isn't Dylan's song worth a mention here?
- Who was it that released this song as a single in 1963? 1964 Dylan album track, '65 Cash single, without June Carter.Lion King 00:48, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Did June Carter really sing on the original 1965 single? I can't hear her. She sang it with him on a re-recording, issued on "Johnny Cash Greatest Hits Vol.1", 1967, but surely not the single? Lion King 17:20, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Recording date is given as 8/27/1964. On the version you have, what, he's singing solo??? Wahkeenah 17:38, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, do you think it could be a rare copy or something? Cheers, Lion King 18:37, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Recorded by the Byrds?
[edit]I am having trouble tracking down this recording by the Byrds. Does anyone know which LP or EP it might have been on? Or was it a single release only? Grandma Roses (talk) 19:39, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Selena Gomez cover?
[edit]The article says Selena Gomez & Kygo covered the song in 2017. The lyrics and melody, however, are completely different, the only similarity is the "it ain't me" line. Any sources for this claim? I didn't find any. 62.245.87.103 (talk) 18:59, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Not really a notable cover, removed it and a couple of others. Probably more to go. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:27, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Transpires, it's another song altogether, It Ain't Me. --Richhoncho (talk) 11:11, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
John Jacob Niles
[edit]As a music historian, I'm stunned that the entire article makes no reference to John Jacob Niles's "Go 'way from my window" -- the opening line is nearly an exact quote. Of course, Dylan soon enough goes off on his own, but it seems to me that the source deserves a mention at least .. Clevelander96 (talk)
