Problem with reference
[edit]Reference 7, the one that documents the early Jazz musicians life in the Channel, such as Tom Brown, appears to be broken. Does anybody know of the proper reference? Nolabob (talk) 11:42, 12 May 2012 (UTC) I have subsequently located the proper National Park Service reference and fixed the link. Nolabob (talk) 19:11, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Batiste Academy/Live Oak Elementary is in Irish Channel, NOT Garden District
[edit]This source:
- Chang, Cindy. "Katrina rewrites the book on education in New Orleans." The Times-Picayune. Thursday August 26, 2010. Updated Monday May 28, 2012.
says: "Last year, the Batiste building on Constance Street in the Garden District was occupied by Live Oak Elementary."
But using maps and another Times Picayune article, it's actually in the Irish Channel, New Orleans community to the south WhisperToMe (talk) 06:59, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
