Month but no year

[edit]

"According to British author Nigel Ashton, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin sent a message to Saddam Hussein through King Hussein of Jordan requesting a meeting between him and Saddam. Rabin hoped peace with Iraq might encourage Iran and Syria to do the same. Rabin was assassinated in November, ending the contact between governments. Rabin had previously supervised Operation Bramble Bush, a failed 1992 plan to assassinate Saddam with Sayeret Matkal commandos"

The above paragraph mentions that Rabin was assassinated in November, but the year is not specified. I think this is important as it marks a turning point in the two countries' relations. If there are no objections I'll hunt around and find the date, otherwise it might be better to take out the November, as it is pretty useless without a year. Arab League Initiative

[edit]

Did Iraq adhere to the Arab Peace Initiative? If so, it should be mentioned. --Soman (talk) 20:41, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have reverted my edit three times without giving any explanation. I replied to your comment on my talk page but you never replied back. I am again restoring my edit because i think it is perfectly legitimate and referenced. Please explain here before reverting so that we can arrive at a consensus. I am also leaving a message on your talk page but please discuss here on the article talk page. Thank you. Sohebbasharat (talk) 11:47, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This unregistered user seems to be pushing POV on the page. He/she has reverted my edit three times without bothering to tell why, has never responded to my constant attempts to start discussion with him/her (no response on their talk page, none here). Also, @24.90.247.138, please add some reference for your last edit if you are serious in your editing and not merely peddling a POV, it shouldn't be difficult to find. Irgun

[edit]

Calling the Irgun an "Israeli independence movement" is garbage, as Israel did not yet exist. They were a Zionist movement, even if you haven't the guts to explicitly state that Zionism factually sought to dispossess Palestinians of their entire homeland. 174.115.100.93 (talk) 17:27, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake

[edit]

"Upon urging by the United States of Israel to stay out of the war, Israel did not retaliate."

Seems like this needs to be edited for clarity. 207.229.150.32 (talk) 16:24, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
