Any hard statistical data to back it all up? Zezen (talk) 07:55, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Historical

[edit]

(Ping@Ozzie10aaaa): Since the subject of this page ('involutional melancholia') is *not* a current diagnosis, the point of the page is solely to provide historical information. Such history-centered medical pages really must not be structured/framed/written in such as way that the subject can appear to be a currently recognised clinical condition. ok (however that edit was 4 years ago, and there have been several other edits since), thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 17:27, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

moved content

[edit]

Moving[1] here, for now, some unclearly sourced content:

Kirby (1909) described it as a distinctive syndrome, as did Hoch and MacCurdy in 1922. Titley (1936) described the premorbid personality and narrow range of interests, etc. Kallman (1959) noted a raised incidence of schizophrenia in the families of such patients.
