It's against the rules to write about an event that hasn't happened yet.
[edit]You are writing about something in the future. That is not allowed by Wikipedia rules. Mattisse 00:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- There are article about FIFA World Cups up to 2018 and some article even further in the future. 2007 isn't bad.--J3wishVulcan 04:01, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
what's wrong with meationing something the annocers said and use the CFL rule changes as an example? that's historic! and what saying something about what torotians hope it bring? which is an NFL team? and what's wrong with the attendence?
like this:
Altough a minor bowl compaired to others, Some believe that if the game is succesful in attendence, this could lead to an NFL team in Toronto (as Godfery, the owner of the Toronto Blue Jays, has stated to NFL fan in Toronto).
The annocers made many references to the the city of Toronto, Hockey, and CFL (which has been good PR for the league, epsecailly on ESPN) in their bordcast. Most notable Canadian Football rules that were mentioned were the Rouge (Single), no fair catch (no yards, or the "Halo" rule), bigger wider field, 3 downs instead of 4, no kick covert (TD are worth 7 points instead of 6, followed by a 2 point convert attempt worth 1 point), no straint arm, Cross Over, Import Ratio, 12 players instead of 11, and alot of old rules the league doesn't use anymore.
Attendence: ?
- There are already aricles about the rule differences. Also, the statement about it leading to an NFL team needs a citation. The sentence about it being good PR for the league on ESPN is POV.--J3wishVulcan 22:58, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
you guys should add the attendence for each bowl game, inculding the international bowl, for the wikipidia record.
- Please note that you can make the change yourself - anyone can edit any article. I went ahead and added it, "The crowd of 26,717 set a new Rogers Centre attendance record." But please note, provided that the information you would like to add is verifiable (see WP:V) and neutral (WP:NPOV), you can add it - you don't need permission. --BigDT 23:57, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
it was a record? I doubt that, the 2005 Easy Division Final well outdrew it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kanga-Kucha (talk • contribs)
- I'm sorry, you're correct, I misread the source. BigDT 00:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
no worries mate, just wanted to point that out to ya, becase in hinsite, the game drew about as well as a regular season Argonauts game (with some seats blocked off by logos if you seen a argos game, I recament it), so my point is that while this was a good start of a bowl game, it didn't sell out like a Grey Cuo would, and therefore if the city of Toronto really wants an NFL team, they have to sell out this bowl, but they didn't, and therefore one has to conculded that the people of Toronto do not want the NFL and are happy with the CFL and as a CFL fan, I couldn't be more gald with this, and I say this is light of the reading the bowl directors comments, which to me seem a little pro NFL (bigger and better, across the border), which I believe while the bowl will get better, which is good since the CFL gets talent from the NCAA as well as the CIS, I don't think it will bring anymore across the border, and therefore his comments to me seem to be no more than hot air. Factual error?
[edit]Are we sure this was the first international bowl game played since the Bacardi Bowl? I think it's better stated as first post-season game, please see the Mirage and Japan Bowls of the 1980s[1]. --Bobak 23:09, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
