Soliciting assistance

[edit]

There is a wealth of information on the Innerbelt Bridge, from its construction in the 1950s to the current plan to replace it with new twin spans over the next few years, so it is plenty notable to have an article. All of this is overwhelming, though, so I'm just going to set up a skeleton and let more experienced writers have at it. Good sources from which to cull information will be included in the References and External Links sections momentarily. Mapsax (talk) 18:09, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Status of funding for new bridge

[edit]

It looks like the state and city are going to be arguing over funding for the second bridge for some time. Is it appropriate then to put a current event template at the top of the "Reconstruction" section? Mapsax (talk) 07:17, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. The templates are intended for situations when circumstances are changing rapidly, which doesn't apply here. We should be fine if you keep doing what you have been. - Eureka Lott 03:51, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tremont access controversy

[edit]

There have been rumblings in the Tremont neighborhood about the second bridge delay causing access inconveniences – a webpage with a direct message is at http://tremontwest.org/index/news-app?story=32 (1/31/12 press release) but I'm sure that I could dig up third-party media citations. Worth a mention or too much deviation from NPOV? Mapsax (talk) 06:33, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancy of length in sources

[edit]

While reverting the length of the bridge after an unsourced IP edit, I noticed that the two sources listing it, the two listed as the sources in the infobox, differ: 4,233 vs. 4,223. Obviously one was a bad transcription. As noted in the hidden comment in the infobox, I went with the Encyclopedia's figure. Pre-revert it was the book's.
