Question on campus closure

[edit]

Indio High school was expected to close in early 2011, but the Desert Sands Unified school district board voted to keep the campus open for another 2 years, and expected to vote on a campus renovation plan to be completed by the start of school year 2012-13. Due to the California statewide budget deficit and the decline of IHS' academic standards by state and federal guidelines, IHS nearly was shut down. The school was in operation since 1958 and you have 3 generations of alumni reside in the city held memories as students and the campus was sentimental to those now serving in the DSUSD. + 71.102.12.55 (talk) 09:20, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
