Inappropriate redirect

[edit]

Underwater welding should not redirect to Submerged Arc Welding as they are totally separate subjects. This redirect is confusing and misleading.

Quote from the SAW article: "Underwater welding refers to a number of distinct welding processes that are performed underwater and should not be confused with the SAW process."

Merge proposal

[edit]

I am proposing a merge of the content from Hyperbaric welding to Underwater welding. The content should be merged but the main article could be either term. --Gene Hobbs (talk) 02:47, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objections, sounds wise... the most correct title term would be to use Hyperbaric Welding as this refers to the widest possible number of variants of underwater welding... thanks for your review Drphilbert (talk) 19:20, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged from Underwater Welding

[edit]

I've merged the underwater welding information into this article, since all types of underwater welding are in fact hyperbaric welding. The underwater welding info was for some reason merged into a completely unrelated article Submerged arc welding - so I've split it back out of there and put in into this article. --Ozhiker (talk) 19:16, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It says that there are two pages on the swedish wikipedia on this subject, Hyperbarisk svetsning and Undervattenssvetsning, but there is no page on Undervattenssvetsning. Shouldn't it be removed? Aratiti (talk) 10:16, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Sometimes pages on other wikis are moved, merged or deleted, so the interwiki links need maintenance, which bots usually do. If you spot dead interwiki links, there's no problem if you delete them. Cheers, --RexxS (talk) 14:41, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any more specific suggestions and maybe a reference or two to work from? • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 05:56, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Seems reasonably clear to me. What is specifically missing? Andy Dingley (talk) 11:58, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
