Rationale for the creation of the redirect

[edit]

In creating this redirect to Baker and Howland islands, I'm providing a validating reference for the exact title with the lower-case "i", Howland and Baker islands:

Note that the web.archive.org version of this webpage from 2008 refers to the islands as "Howard Island":

talk page still exists at Talk:Baker and Howland islands

[edit]

Please see the talk page at Talk:Baker and Howland islands, which could not be automatically moved when the article was moved to "Howland and Baker islands".  There is a section there that discussed the move here.  Unscintillating (talk) 23:51, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Request

[edit]

There are separate articles about both islands, so there is no need to have this article in existence. The title is also formatted incorrectly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.104.173.120 (talk) 19:12, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
