The style of this article is prescriptive (i.e. it uses words like 'should' and 'shouldn't' in describing usage) instead of descriptive; perhaps it should be changed?

Also, less importantly, perhaps the pinyin should be grouped into words (i.e. chēzi instead of chē zi). -Qeny (talk) 17:43, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bad ISBN

[edit]

Because it is causing a Checkwiki error #73: "ISBN-13 with wrong checksum", I removed the ISBN from the entry:

周長揖(著),《新加坡閩南話概説》 ,廈門大學出版社, 2000年,ISBN 9787561516924(Zhou Changyi (2000), "An Overview over Singaporean Hokkien", Xiamen University Pub.)

I have tried unsuccessfully to locate the correct ISBN on the Internet; the only google hits on the document's title or the document's title and author are copies of this entry. Knife-in-the-drawer (talk) 04:00, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the book's ISBN in the article as the listed ISBN is a mix of both 13 and 9 digits ISBNs. See the bolded numbers 9787561516928, 7561516924. WorldCat is a good place to find details of book. ~ JASWE (talk) 04:35, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
