2019 legislation change

An important note is that since 2019, Polish workers who aren't on umowa o pracę ('employment contract') that guarantees more labour protections and instead are on so-called śmieciówka's (lit. 'rubbish/trash contract') that don't guaarantee the same protections - can be in a trade union.
