This city of Undivided India, currently a part of Pakistan, a state of the Indian subcontinent, has a long history. The page requires massive expansion. --Bhadani 14:38, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • [Ayaz] added many important features, such as city gates and a masonry fort, built in 1037-1040 on the ruins of the previous one, which had been demolished in the fighting (as recorded by Munshi Sujan Rae Bhandari, author of the Khulasatut Tawarikh in 1695-96). {{Fact|date=June 2007}}

Orphaned references in History of Lahore

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of History of Lahore's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bosworth":

  • From Peshawar: Bosworth, Clifford Edmund (2007). Historic Cities of the Islamic World. BRILL. ISBN 9789004153882. Retrieved 24 March 2017.
  • From Lahore: Bosworth, C. Edmund (2007). Historic Cities of the Islamic World. Brill. ISBN 978-9047423836. Retrieved 26 December 2017.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:52, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Aglrochisat: is this the source that you meant to reference? -- Fyrael (talk) 16:02, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The "premier party"?

[edit]

The section entitled "Role in Independence" contains this sentence:

"The most important session of the All India Muslim League, later the Pakistan Muslim League, the premier party fighting for Indian independence and the creation of Pakistan, was held in Lahore in 1940"

Delete the words "Indian independence and".

Reason: It is generally known that the premier party fighting for Indian independence was the Indian National Congress. Need I provide references ?? Sooku (talk) 05:00, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
