Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Hiroshi Tada (performer). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

"performer" best descriptor?

[edit]

It seems to me the main reason Tada has a wiki page at all is as author of the stress analysis handbook? ( Consider without that would this page be worthy of Wikipedia at all?? )

Actually, I at first wondered if the "performer" and "author" are actually the same person. (The textbook author must be at least 70years old.. ) This needs clean up .. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.32.183.252 (talk) 15:38, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When I set out to create this article I only knew of Tada as a local performer at festivals and was quite surprised (and yes, skeptical if it was the same person at first) to find out about the engineering side. Very recently I've found out more about just how important Tada's work is to his specific field and am hoping to expand this a bit, and also very much agree that a title change is in order. Even the Pantagraph article that confirms that the professor and top spinner are the same person states that he's "better known as an expert in mechanical engineering". -- Fyrael (talk) 16:00, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Engineerig PhD from Lehigh according to the Washington U faculty page. That must have been early 70s based on a couple of publications and the handbook original pub date, which is how I surmised the approx. age. Cant find any citable references to add it to the article though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.32.183.252 (talk) 19:27, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
