Proposed Changes

[edit]

Hi, I am the archivist and historian for SC Johnson which is headed by H. Fisk Johnson. Since I have a conflict of interest I would like to request a small edit to the Wikipedia site for Herbert Fisk Johnson III. Could the banner at the bottom of the page that links to “Johnson Family Enterprises” be removed from the site? Johnson Family Enterprises does not exist and the linked page was previously removed as per deletion request.(http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Johnson_Family_Enterprises)

Hi, I am the archivist and historian for SC Johnson which is headed by Fisk Johnson. I acknowledge that I have a conflict of interest and I am writing to request two small edits to correct Fisk's birth date in the article titled "Herbert Fisk Johnson III".

Change to: Herbert Fisk Johnson III' (born May 19, 1958),

Change Infobox: | birth_date = (1958-05-19) May 19, 1958 (age 66)

It is listed correctly here if a source is required for this (https://gw.geneanet.org/tdowling?lang=en&n=johnson&oc=1&p=herbert+fisk)

Thanks! Wax86 (talk) 20:06, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I found one more thing related to the birth date. Could the category "1957 births" be removed? Wax86 (talk) 20:45, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am the archivist and historian for SC Johnson which is headed by H. Fisk Johnson. Since I have a conflict of interest I would like to request the removal of some incorrect information that was added to the site for Herbert Fisk Johnson III.

Under Personal Life, The phrase: "Forbes November 2014: Fisk Johnson "is a convicted child molester, worth $2.7 billion, also paid a $6,000 fine as part of his punishment for two misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. He pleaded guilty to both back in June."[7"

This information and citation should be removed because it does not relate to Herbert Fisk Johnson III.

  Reverted to status quo ante

  • The COI editor is correct. The inserted claim does not apply to the subject of the article, Herbert Fisk Johnson. It applies to his brother, Samuel Curtis “Curt” Johnson III. That claim is not germane to this article.
