Roids

[edit]

I can't believe I'm debating a redirect, but... Isn't "roids" also slang for "steroids"? I know some people at VfD would be angry about a slang redirect, but... The Literate Engineer 06:37, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

You're right, of course, I'd forgotten about "roids" being slang for "steroids." (Laughing) the only reason I even thought about this redirect was because I'd forgotten completely how to spell "hemorrhoids" or "haemorrhoids"... I was writing an article and was so frustrated I thought I'd just search for "roids" on wikipedia.... :) 172.162.14.220 06:57, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Something that makes this point even more confusing is the additional use of "hemroids" which also means the same as "hemorrhoids" or "haemorrhoids". So it does seem feasible to encompass these three communal words into the category of "roids" to save a lot of confusion.
